TBALL:  This level is for 4 & 5 year olds.  This is their first taste of baseball and we encourage all parents and coaches to take an active role in teaching basic hand eye coordination skills.  The intent is to play baseball for 90 minutes twice per week, while teaching them how to catch, throw and hit a baseball off of a tee.  This level is designed to allow every child an opportunity to bat each inning that is played.

A successful season is when you ask your son or daughter if they had fun today?  and their answer is YES!

Instructional Coach Pitch: This level is designed for players 5, 6, & 7 years of age, that are still 7 years old as of April 30 and that have only t-ball or no experience with the game so far.  We intend to have the game be played for an hour and 45 minutes, with the hopes that each child gets to play and we allow coaches to be out on the field coaching and teaching them.  We allow the coaches the autonomy to stop the game and re-enforce- Why or how to do something in the game. Again at the end of the day when you ask your child if they had fun the answer is YES!

Competitive Machine Pitch:   Again the most important aspect is that kids of this age have fun, but now we attempt to introduce an umpire getting outs and running bases.  This division is designed for 7 & 8 year olds as of April 30.  All machines this year will be set the same, but the PHBSA looks for outs to enforced, we will only allow an assigned number of runs per inning and only allowing no more than one at bat per inning, so that teams can't run up scores.  We leave coaching out in the field up to the discreation of the coaches, but we do not want the play slowed down.  Let the kids learn by doing and in order to save the coaches voice he or she can be on the field.

Minors/10U:
This division is the first year children in the PHBSA get to experience their peers pitching to them.  Intended for children ages 9 & 10.  PHBSA rules are followed more closely, coaches stay on their benches, the intent is for everyone to have fun and to learn the game.  Outs are recorded and everyone will not get an opportunity to bat the same amount of times.

Majors/12U: This is most childrens second or third years in kid pitch.  Like Minors and Softball there are no changes this year.  We want our players to have fun, be competitive and still learn how to play the game, how to be good teammates, and good sportmans.

Pony/15U:  The PHBSA is increasing the age back to 15U for 2019.  Last year it seemed we left some children out, by decreasing the age to a 14U division.  We are moving that back up to 15U.  So if your son is still 15 on April 30 he is able to play in the PHBSA Pony league.  We have reached out to surrounding leagues to schedule games this summer.  Therefore, there may be some Travel to other communities.
